Meet Rebecca

As a teenager, Rebecca worked at a stone quarry to help make ends meet. Even though her parents were around, they lived in poverty and were unable to support her endeavors.

Income from the stone quarry helped Rebecca scrape by, but it wasn’t nearly enough to pay for her education and cover living expenses. After missing registration and payment deadlines, she was forced to drop out. Leaving school was devastating for Rebecca. She felt lost, hopeless.

As He always does, God had other plans. Rebecca was encouraged to apply for the program after hearing about Ravens Ministries from a neighbor who attended Christian Family Fellowship Church. One year later, her application was accepted—perfect timing, as the stone quarry shut down six months after enrolling in the program.

Today, Rebecca attends university and studies Catering and Hotel Management. She will be the first in her family to receive a higher education degree. Hope has been restored for Rebecca, and she is thankful for the support of her Ravens Uganda family.
