At just 15, Lorena had already experienced tremendous heartbreak that no child should ever endure. Her parents separated due to infidelity and domestic violence, leaving her in her father’s care until he abandoned her at age 7. Forced to live with an aunt, Lorena suffered from exploitation and abuse.

Even amid such turbulence, Lorena saved enough money to afford primary education, but the financial burden grew as she progressed through school. Like many students you support, this caused Lorena to drop out.

After attending Christian Family Fellowship Church, Lorena learned of Ravens Ministries and applied. To her delight, she was accepted. Today, she dreams of becoming an attorney so she can advocate for mothers and children victimized by domestic violence and neglect.
