Opportunities to pursue educational and professional dreams

As a bright, determined student, Eric grew up with dreams of becoming a civil engineer. He was always one of the smartest in his class and loved to learn. But when Eric’s parents separated, life changed. He went to live with his brother, who did all he could to sustain Eric’s education. But when school fees became too much to afford, Eric was forced to drop out. Situations like this leave young men like Eric vulnerable to life on the streets.

When Eric heard Pastor Abel speak at his home church, he felt a glimmer of hope. Eric was encouraged to apply for the Ravens program, and to his delight, was accepted!

“I was not quite sure that I would even reach the education level where I am now, but with the support from Ravens, I’m thriving with hope,” Eric said. “My dream is to one day build a home and start helping underprivileged guys just like I have been helped.”

Today, Eric is a straight-A student and is grateful to be a part of the Ravens Uganda family.

“I believe youth have abilities to excel, but they need someone to help them with support to realize their dreams," he added.
